There are two kinds of people in the world: Sinus People and those who are Not Sinus People.
I am of the former, and like clockwork I am dealing with my annual sinus infection. No doubt, it's the worst couple of weeks of my year. But this year's sinus extravaganza has been an improvement from last year's and I'd like to at least partially credit my neti pot. Granted it didn't save me from infection, but it was definitely MVP of my recovery, right after the antibiotics.
If you are a Sinus Person then you will understand the value of deep cleaning those suckers. The doctor who treated me in the emergency room last week was also a Sinus Person and stressed that one cannot overdue it with nasal rinsing. So go for it. Neti, I love you.
