Everyone loves Ramen

I just learned this: Bulgur is like, the ramen noodles of the bulk food aisle. Just add boiling water!

Not nearly as processed as Minute Rice, Bulgur is cracked wheat that has been cooked and dried. There are different levels of processing, so find a whole-grain variety with it's bran intact for maximum nutrition.

Traditionally used for tabouli, bulgur is a nice substitute for rice or couscous. Check out this awesome recipe by Heidi Swanson.

Bulgur is great - so much harder to turn into a big soggy mess than couscous!
